About Accommodation in Greenland
You may not expect it but Greenland has an excellent choice of hotels. From four-star hotels include Hotel Arctic in Ilulissat, Hotel Sisimiut in Sisimiut and Hotel Hans Egede in Nuuk to four seamen’s hostels. Primarily for sailors, but in recent years have been modernised and today are of hotel standard. All seamen’s hostels have a cafeteria where you can enjoy the dish of the day or a cup of coffee and a piece of home-made cake. Breakfast is always included in the price. In the major towns there are B&B’s, where you live with a Greenlandic family and thereby get an insight into everyday life. Often, for a small additional charge, you will be able to eat with the family and taste some homemade Greenlandic specialities.
In South Greenland several sheep-farmers offer basic overnight accommodation. To the north you can stay at an Ice camp.
