The famous Norwegian Coastal Voyage journey offered by Hurtigruten is
often described as ‘the world’s most beautiful voyage’ and provides a
cruise for people who want to see more than just the sea. The ship travels
up and down the magnificent coastline of Norway from Bergen in the South
to Kirkenes in the North calling at 34 ports along the way, most never visited
by the larger cruise liners. There is no dressing for dinner and no fighting for

The Hurtigruten fleet consists of 14 purpose-built vessels that have been
specifically designed for the waters in which they operate. At any one time,
no fewer than 11 of these impressive ships ply the route along the Norwegian
Coast, affording a unique insight into the fascinating heart of these coastal
communities. The newest ship MS Fram has an ice classification and is
designed to sail in polar waters.
